Musica dalla Terra di Mezzo!
Oggi tocca ai Blind Guardian con “Lord of the Rings”, versione originale contenuta nell’album “Tales from the Twilight World“.
Come molti gruppi Metal (Power/Symphonic/Heavy, che confluiscono sotto la denominazione “Epic”, derivante dai temi affrontati nei testi delle loro canzoni, perlopiù richiamanti scenari epici, mitologici e fantasy), anche i Blind Guardian devono gran parte della loro ispirazione alle opere di Tolkien.
Oltre all’album da quale è tratta la canzone qui di seguito, si ricorda anche l’album “Nightfall in Middle-Earth” (del quale fa parte la celeberrima “Mirror Mirror“, di cui parleremo più avanti) e “Somewhere Far Beyond“, gli album più strettamente legati alla narrativa Tolkieniana.
